Women's Day event planned at St. Mark

St. Mark Baptist Church, 542 Crescent Ave., will hold its annual Women's Day observance at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The theme is "Women of God in Alignment with the Assignment," Ephesians 2:10.

The speaker will be the Rev. Tameka Green of Roanoke Baptist Church.

Everyone is welcome.

St. Thomas Baptist celebrates 56 years

St. Thomas Baptist Church, 347 Grove St., will celebrate 56 years of church service at 2 p.m. Sunday.

The theme for the worship service will be "How Great is Our God," Psalms 145:3.

Pastor Johnny Jones of Cottrell Chapel CME Church will deliver the Celebration message along with selections from the choir.

"Please come and share this great Celebration Worship service with us," a news release said. Lunch will be provided.

Greater Saint Paul celebrates 144 years

Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 497 Crescent St., will celebrate its 144th church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Gethsemane Baptist Church's pastor, the Rev. Bobble Hampton, will be the guest, with music by a guest choir.
